We have had another busy week here in Community 2. Check out some of the things that we got up to below:
June Pitman-Hayes
We were so honoured to have singer/songwriter, lyricist, poet and recently published first-time author, June Pitman-Hayes come into our community and read, sing and play her inspiring work to us. She is very proud of being able to walk in both Māori and European worlds, embracing the values and lessons from both cultures, and to be able to share the gifts or her learning and experiences, and her love of music, the written word and story-telling with children and people from all over Aotearoa and around the world!

Maths - Measurement
We have continued measuring items around the classroom, including ourselves, using non-standard units. We thoroughly enjoyed making paper planes and measuring the distance from the starting point to end point.
