Kia Ora Community 2 Whanau,
Term 4 is escaping us already and we have been super busy in C2 this week.
As part of our topic learning this term we are inquiring into the difference between wants and needs. The students have thought deeply about this and they have been discussing more than just material objects but things such as love, kindness, friendship etc. As part of our duty to the community and from these discussions we took 12 children to Summerset Falls Retirement Village on Thursday. These children took a book and a board game to read and play with the residents. We are hoping to continue this every week, taking different children down to the village to spread joy through the community. Here are a few snaps from the visit.
On Friday we also had the school Walk-a-thon. Thank you if you were able to make it and support us on the walk. Also, thank you to each and every one of the C2 families for the money you have raised to put towards our outdoor areas and digital technology. Nothing would be possible without your support.
